- What is
a PEO?
A Professional Employer Organization (PEO) is a human resources
outsourcing company designed to assist small, medium and large
size businesses to concentrate on their own business by taking
on the headaches of payroll, workers’ compensation and employment
related management tasks.
- Who uses
Administrative Concepts?
Nearly any business can find value in a relationship with ACC.
An average ACC client is a business with 10 worksite employees.
Increasingly, larger businesses also are finding value in an arrangement
with ACC.
ACC clients include many different types of businesses ranging
from construction trades to accounting firms to high-tech companies
and small manufacturers. Many different types of professionals,
including doctors, retailers, mechanics and engineers, also benefit
from ACC’s services.
- How does
an arrangement with Administrative Concepts work?
Once you contract with ACC, we then co-employ your worksite employees.
In the arrangement among ACC, a worksite employee and a client
company, there exists a co-employment relationship in which both
ACC and the client company have an employment relationship with
the worker. ACC and the client company share and allocate responsibilities
and liabilities. ACC assumes much of the responsibility and liability
for the business of employment, such as risk management, payroll
and employee tax compliance. You retain responsibility for and
manage product development and production, business operations,
marketing, sales, and service. ACC and the client share certain
responsibilities for employment law compliance.
- Is ACC licensed?
Yes. ACC is licensed and regulated by the Florida Department of
Business and Professional Regulation.
- Why should
I use Administrative Concepts?
Business owners want to focus their time and energy on the "business
of their business" and not on the "business of employment."
As businesses grow, most owners do not have the necessary payroll
and accounting skills, the knowledge of regulatory compliance,
or the backgrounds in risk management, insurance and employee
benefit programs to meet the demands of being an employer. ACC
gives you access to many benefits and employment amenities you
would not have otherwise.
- Will I lose
control of my business?
No. You retain ownership of the company and control over its operations.
As co-employers, ACC and you will contractually share or allocate
employer responsibilities and liabilities. ACC will generally
only assume responsibilities and liabilities associated with a
"general" employer for purposes of administration, payroll,
taxes and benefits. You will continue to have responsibility for
worksite safety and compliance. ACC will be responsible for payroll
and employment taxes and will maintain employee records. Because
ACC is responsible for workers' compensation, we also focus on
and improve safety and compliance. In general terms, ACC will
focus on employment-related issues and you will be responsible
for the actual business operations.
- How does
Administrative Concepts help me control costs and grow my bottom
line?
ACC's economy of scale enables you to lower employment costs and
increase your business's bottom line. You can maintain a simple
in-house infrastructure or none at all by relying on ACC. You
also can reduce hiring overhead. The professionals at ACC can
provide critical assistance with employer compliance, which helps
protect you against liability. In addition, ACC provides time
savings by handling routine and redundant tasks. This enables
you to focus on the company's core competency and grow the bottom
line.
- How do
employees benefit from an arrangement with Administrative Concepts?
Employees seek financial security, quality health insurance, a
safe working environment and opportunities for retirement savings.
When a company works with ACC, job security is improved as ACC
implements efficiencies to lower employment costs. Job satisfaction
and productivity increase when employees are provided with professional
services, safety services and improved communications. And, a
co-employment relationship wit ACC provides employees with an
expanded employee-benefits package, including a 401(k), life insurance,
disability insurance, a flexible spending plan and more.
- Who is
responsible for the employees' wages and employment taxes?
ACC assumes responsibility and liability for payment of wages
and compliance with the rules and regulations governing the reporting
and payment of federal and state taxes on wages paid to its employees.
ACC has long established our role as reporting income and handling
withholding, FICA and FUTA.
- Who is
responsible for state unemployment taxes?
As the employer for employment tax and employee benefits, ACC
assumes responsibility and liability for payment of Florida state-unemployment
taxes.
- Who is
responsible for employment laws and regulations?
As employers, both you and ACC have compliance obligations. ACC
provides worksite employees with coverage under many employment
laws and regulations, including federal, state, and local discrimination
laws.
- Who is
responsible for workers' compensation?
ACC is the employer of worksite employees for purposes of providing
workers' compensation coverage.
- Does Administrative
Concepts supply new employees for a fee?
No. Unlike a “temp service” or “head-hunter
organization”, ACC “hires” your current employees,
and then leases them back to you.
- How long
has Administrative Concepts been doing business?
ACC has been in business since October 1995.
- How much
do Administrative Concepts services cost?
Often times the cost of ACC’s services is less than what
it costs you to do the same things on your own. For a free quote,

- How do
I get started?
When you decide to use ACC, we have kept it very simple. After
a brief qualification process, we have each employee complete
a small packet, set up your payroll and we’re ready to go.
The only responsibility you have is to report your hours to our
office. We process your payroll and call you with one total. We
then deliver your payroll and management reports to you and collect
one check for the entire thing. It’s that simple!
-
What day is payday?
We deliver payrolls Monday through Friday, based on when you want
it and what day you want it dated for. We process weekly, bi-weekly,
semi-monthly and even some monthly payrolls.
